Almost 3 miles!!

Well, I went out for my morning jog with Sarah today & everything was going great. All of a sudden I felt this pulling on the inside of my ankle. I was slowing down because it was starting to hurt. I caught up to Sarah & her mom-in-law to let them know I was going to have to go slower. Dang it!!! So, I didn't quite go 3 miles, but almost. Hopefully it's just because I didn't stretch it out enough. Who knows. But, I'm feeling good, & glad that we are doing this jogging thing. I also took Blake over to do a Valentine craft @ Michael's today. It was fun & I think I need to take more opportunities to do the "FREE" stuff around town. Gotta love when stuff is "FREE"!!

Counting with Sonny

Please remember that this is not Sonny's regular voice. He's been sick with a terrible cough & so his voice is a little off. It's funny!!

100 Days of School Project

So, my little boy Blake has reached 100 days of school. CRAZY!! The kids were assigned to do a project with 100 of anything. We thought about it & Brad actually came up with the idea of using 100 pennies. We thought it was a great idea & Blake agreed & since we the pennies it worked out great. Blake & I went & bought some posterboard & glue. A few days later we got the board ready & Blake counted out 10 piles of 10pennies. It was great & Sonny even joined in. So I go to get the "crazy glue" & put some glue on a penny to show Blake what to do & guess what I did.......I totally glued my fingers together!!! Who'd a thunk. I thought I could just pull them apart but that totally didn't work. I was getting a little worried & then I pulled the packaging out of the garbage & read that I needed to use nailpolish remover or warm soapy water. I opted for the nailpolish remover. I poured it over the glue but it wasn't working. Then I proceeded to pour it into a bowl & soak my fingers. Finally after about 10 minutes of trying to roll my fingers apart, they unstuck. I was seriously worried. I don't think I'll be using "crazy glue" again anytime soon. (should've taken a picture). Anyway we then proceeded to use my super handy hot glue gun. worked great. Blake glued the pennies down & then Brad said we didn't do it right. The next day we pulled all the pennies off & then redid it to look kinda like a $1.00 bill. Blake did all of the drawing & all the gluing. It looks like I did one side & he did the other, but he did it all. I was so proud of him & he had a lot of fun!! He loves to do artsy crafty things.

Just Thinking

I just keep thinking that I have so much to do. So why do I spend so much time on this stinking computer? Well, it seems to be an outlet for me. I am not the most creative person in the world. I usually get ideas from friends & other resources, which I am truly grateful for. It's fun for me to talk about the things I've done & the things I'm working on & to also know that I'm not alone in many of the things that I'm am going through. I love to be able to connect to people. It seems like I don't get out much, I'm usually babysitting or working so I don't have much of an outside social life, so blogging & Facebook keep me connected. Thank Goodness. Anyway, I have lots more to post but, I must go & attend to the dishes before they are way out of control. (which happens from time to time). Oh yeah, and that stinking laundry. It never ends. By the way, it's Monday, the day that I've chosen to read Church or Church related materials & it's going well. It gives me time to read things that I just don't make time for. I feel good about it!! Also on Saturday, Sarah & I walked 2 miles. It was good but felt long. I'm grateful to be getting back in shape.

Good Mom or Bad Mom

Ever since we moved the Playstation 2 into Blake's room & he got games for Christmas, he always wants to play. Of course, who can blame him. All the Legos games are so addicting. Well he woke up today around 7:15 (yes, I know it's early) & I told him I didn't want him to play all day because I didn't want his brain to rot. (yes, my exact words). He laughed & thought it was funny & then what do I do? I then ask him if he wants to watch TV. What's the difference, I ask myself? Well, video games should be a privilige, not an expected thing. TV should be a privilege too. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

Wonderful Women

I would just like to say that I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful women, near & far. I'm grateful to be able to work & serve with such amazing women. From Primary to Young Women's to Visiting Teaching & so forth. I truly believe that Heavenly Father has allowed me to cross paths with these women. I am always lifted & renewed after reading something they've written or something they've taught. Keep up the good work & thank you for being a part of my life.

Shoes!

Blake has his own digital camera & while I was loading his pictures on the computer I found this one. I love it. Just a pic of me & my converse tennis shoes. It's fun going through his pictures to see what he thinks is cool in his world. I'll have to do a slide show for all of his pictures cause he has a tendency to take a lot of the same picture, but I hear that is a good way to get "THE" shot. Maybe I should try that out. I'm trying to learn more tricks so that I can take Great pictures.
