State Fair Family Fun

We decided to take the boys to the state fair on Saturday night. It was kinda hot in the beginning but it cooled down after a while. We went & looked at exhibits & farm life to try to stay cool & then did the rides after we ate & after it cooled down. We all had a fun time & I'm glad we decided to go. Brad & I aren't big fans of spinny rides. I actually prefer amusement park rides but feel I am getting to old to have my head knocked around so much anymore. Anyway, the boys had funon the rides they got to go on. Blake actually won a prize from the giant sized fishing game. He was very excited. Take a look at the cute baby piglets below. I am soooooo glad I'm not a momma pig. For some reason we saw all of the brand new baby farm animals & the mommas that were pregnant. Don't know why we didn't go inside & see all of the others. It was Fun.

Race for the Arts

Lisa & I went & did the 5k for "Race for the Arts" on Friday 8/22/08. It was hot due to being in the early evening, but we both survived. I ended up leaving Lisa just to see what kind of time I could get this time. I got 45minutes 35seconds. That's about 1 1/2 minutes faster than my last time. WooHoo!! Although, the timing was a little bit different @ this race than all of the others. They didn't really do chip time vs. time. Who knows I may or may not have shaved a few more seconds off my time. Anyway, I just enjoy going & want to do better every time I go. Here's a pic of my shirt & number.

Here's Blake right outside his classroom. Like I said before he was READY to go to class. He just went right in & took a seat on the floor & started listening to the story that was being read. He didn't need me to stay at all.

1st Day of Kindergarten

BB's 1st day of school was today!! He was soooo excited. I only took a few pics & BB was already telling me no more pics mom. I'm having trouble uploading these photos right now (UGH!!!). I will be working on this to get them on so everyone can see him in all his cuteness. He was so brave & just went right in & took a seat. I was so proud. When it was time to pick him up he was a smiles. He said his fave part of school was drawing & then later told Aunt April it was recess. Funny. I asked him what he learned & he said he couldn't remember. Funny. I told him that he would get better at remembering. He's so funny. It's going to be so much fun watching him learn & grow this next year.

School is starting!!

Hey everyone! Just so you are in the know, BB starts kindergarten tomorrow. We are so excited and I still cannot believe that he's old enough to go. He's growing up too fast. He's so ready to go to school though. I'm really happy that he's excited to go. I will post pictures sometime tomorrow of his 1st day of school. Wish him FUN!!!!

Citrus Heights Soccer Club Opening Day

Opening day for soccer was on Saturday. We had lots of fun but it was an all day affair. BB seems to be enjoying soccer much more this year than last year!! I'm so happy to see what a whole year can do. I'm sure it helps that his friend Nolan is on the team. I'm happy because I have mom friends who I get to see on a regular basis. Yeah for me!! Ha ha. Anyway here's a few pics from opening day. Here's BB & Nolan. These 2 have known eachother since they were 1 & Nolan is still a whole head taller.

BB starts kindergarten next week so we had Aunt Amelia give him a haircut so he would be sooo handsome for school. Uncle Eric was there to give moral support.

Susan B. Anthony 5K

Me & Kimi went to this 5K on Sat. August 9. We got so much free stuff @ this 5K. We also came in at 47min 05seconds. That's 4minutes faster than my last 5K. Woohoo for me. I was soooo excited!!!!
