Sick of Snotty noses

I am so tired of snotty noses, mine included!!! It seems as though it is a combo of allergies & colds all mixed together. I am almost completely out of tissues!!! Ahhhhhhhh....Spring!! Can't wait for it to be over!! Anyway I hope everyone is making it through the craziness of Spring.

Twitter

Hey, does anybody out there Twitter? I've been wondering if I should take the plunge. I joined Facebook back in December & I've seen & heard tons of stuff about Twitter. Share your thoughts & let me know if I should join or if it's not really worth it. Thanks!!

Grandmother's Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Brad's Grandmother's Birthday on Saturday night. We went to Joe's Crab Shack in Old Sacramento. Boy was it packed. Lisa was so great & went down there way early to put our name in so when we got there we wouldn't have to wait so long. Wow!! I don't know about anybody else, but I sure had fun. The best part is the dancing. I love it!! The food was great too. It was so much fun to get together & celebrate her 70th birthday. I seriously can't believe she's 70!!! She's so fun loving & energetic!! This is my 1st attempt at this kind of collage. I think I like it better than all the others I've done. Anyway........HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMOTHER!!!! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

Oh I almost forgot. Blake got a splinter while we were waiting & Brad was able to get it out with his fingernails. Way to go Dad!! That's why there are pictures of Blake's finger. Just click on the collage to get a bigger glimpse.

Easter Pictures

So on the Friday before Easter we took the boys, with their cousin Libby to get Easter Pictures. The group shots are always so hard, as you can tell below. We had fun. Sonny was being a grump at 1st & then he finally got into it. He's laughing his head off in the picture below.
Blake, Sonny & Libby
I swear my boys could not be more handsome. Blake sporting
his new haircut.
He only wanted to sit on that particular log in that particular direction!!
I think Blake is a professional at posing for pictures. You wouldn't
believe how many times he's had his picture taken. Sonny not
as much, but we're getting there. Blake's got 4 years on
his little brother.
Here's another group shot. Sonny was trying so hard not to laugh.
He wanted to pout but the photographer was too funny.
Well the kids did a good job at picture time so they we rewarded with some
game time at Chuck E. Cheese's. Wow!! That was fun. I learned
some new stuff about that place. I always thought you had to
buy their food to get in. Boy was I wrong!! Now I know that you don't have to buy their
food just to play the games. You just gotta buy tokens. Right on. Now I will
be making playdates with my friends to take all the kids there. Fun times!!

A New Haircut

Continuing on with our Spring Break. I finally made it over to my sister Amelia's to get Blake's haircut & mine too. Blake's hair was out of control. Mine was just getting too long. I'm always so wishy washy when I get my haircut. I never know exactly what I want but it usually turns out just fine. It's always a weird feeling when you run your fingers through your new hair length & forget that it's short & your hair stops & there's no more. Well I have to say I'm actually pretty happy with the end results. Thanks Amelia, you are great!!
What do you think? Of course I took these pics myself. Hopefully you get the gist of what it looks like.

Just remember, I usually look better in person. Blake's hair turned out just fine. He's
very excited because I told him that when school's out he can get a mohawk.
That'll be fun!!!

Primary Quarterly Activity Craft

So last week was Spring Break & we decided it would be a good time to do our Quarterly Activity for the Primary Children. Of course it was my turn to be in charge. (Like I didn't have a million other things going on that week). I decided it would be fun to make these cute picture frames with pictures of the Savior coming out of the tomb & talking with Mary outside of the tomb. We did that 1st. & then played relay races with plastic eggs. After that we did the Easter story with strips of it in the plastic eggs. The kids had so much fun doing the picture frames & decorating with stickers & the relay races. The story time was a little bit harder but I was so glad for the big turnout that we had. After they got to eat cupcakes with green frosting & jellybeans hidden in the green coconut. All in all, it turned out great & I didn't need to be so stressed. It all came together. Thank Goodness.
This is the one that Blake made with all of the Spider Man Stickers.
These are the one's I made for examples. Very easy to do.
8 popsickle sticks (glue sets of 2 together) & then glue 4 corners together
picture (glue to backside of frame)
ribbon to hang
embellishments
glue gun works best & fastest

I think I'm going to try & make one with Colby(the boy I babysit) & then do
something like it for their mom for Mother's Day. It's so easy &
very, very kid friendly.

Easter Fun!!

We had a very nice Easter this year. We started off early by decorating Easter Eggs with Grammy Sisa on the Sunday before Easter. The boys had fun & their cousin Libby was there too. Then it was Spring Break & I will post about that later. Then on Saturday after Blake's game & after Sonny finally woke up we got down to business coloring our eggs. Blake wanted to see how bright we could get the colors. We had fun & Sonny helped us too. Then on Sunday the boys woke up bright & early (of course) & we went out to see what the Easter Bunny brought. They both got baskets full of fun art stuff to do inside & outside with only a few packages of Spongebob fruit snacks. We didn't want to do candy because we knew they'd get it at Grammy Sisa's house. Blake was a little disappointed that there were no eggs to find but we told him the Easter egg hunt would be later at Sisa's. So after church & after naps we headed over to Sisa's for dinner & the egg hunt. We had lots of fun & I think that we should do egg hunts without the Easter Bunny every year. The Bunny can bring baskets & we'll do the hunt later at someone else's house. We had a very nice time & even Sonny finally got the hang of hunting for the eggs. What a great time to remember the Resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I feel honored & blessed to have The Gospel in my life & to know my Savior. I hope you all feel blessed as well. And if you don't know your Savior, maybe you should take a little time to get to know Him & learn all the wonderful things He has done for each & every one of us. It's hard for me to only celebrate at Easter & Christmas. I feel I celebrate in my heart & mind all the time & don't think that He should only be celebrated twice a year. Thank goodness I was lucky enough to be born into a family that has always had the Gospel. I am truly grateful.

Ok, Ok, Ok, Ok

Ok, I haven't really had much to talk about lately. Well, that's not true. I have tons to say but not sure if the public should be made aware of what I'm actually thinking. I will be posting Easter pictures very soon. Seems like I never have enough time to do my fun stuff!! Anyway, my friend Sarah has decided that she's going to take a break from walking/jogging. I must say that I was a bit disappointed but I'm taking things in to my own feet. I signed up with my mother in law to do a 1/2 marathon at the end of June in Seattle, WA. Woohoo!!! I'm so excited but now I have to get serious. I have to train by myself but that's ok. My darling Brad loaded the mp3 player with "my" music & got me a pedometer so I know how far I'm going. Thank you!!! It helps so much to have music & now I know that I can go the distance. Especially since I have a little device to tell me how many miles I've gone. In the meantime, I will also be going to any 5K races that I can get to. Too bad I didn't start this venture in my life earlier, like in high school. Oh well, the time is now!!! Hopefully I will be able to "finish" the 1/2 marathon with no problems & maybe shed a few pounds at the same time. Time will only tell. Be back soon with Easter fun!!
