Isn't it Ironic!?

Ok, so I must've taken about a million photos of all of our Christmas festivities & now I cannot find my stinking camera. Of course....totally figures. But, in my search it has helped me to start putting our Christmas loot away. Wow!!! We had a fun time & I'm so grateful for Santa & all of his little helpers to help Christmas be merry & bright. So, if I ever find that stinking camera I will finally post our Christmas happenings. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & that there was time to reflect on the wonderful gift we all received from our Father in Heaven so many years ago. Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Party

This is where the kids got to sit & visit with Santa @ our ward Christmas Party.
Blake was HAPPY but Sonny was not having any of it!!

We got him to calm down just a little bit, but he was not going to
sit with Santa!! No Way!!
Sonny likes to hold his finger up to his mouth & say SHHHHHHHH!
It's so cute.
There's our Happy boy. Well we had a nice time at the Ward Party.
There was a Nativity program that turned out very well.
Blake was one of the shepherd's but those pics didn't turn out @ all because
apparently I am the only one that know how to work the camera (sorry Brad,
I still love you anyway). I was behind the scenes making sure the
kids knew when to go out on stage. I was so proud of Blake because we
also had a Stake primary choir practice that morning that he would not
participate in at all. It's frustrating to me that he does this thing when he tells me he
has stage fright. Well he did his part in the Nativity with no problem & then on
Sunday at the Stake music fireside, he went & sang with the children's
choir. I was soooo Happy & proud (even though he did have his ears plugged
during one of the songs). I don't want to make him do things that he doesn't want to but
I do want him to at least try. Is that so wrong? Well anyway, I am proud
of what he did do.

Christmas pics

Oh, Christmas Tree, Oh, Christmas Tree!
So here's our lovely Christmas tree that Blake & I decorated. We don't have a
tree topper so Brad suggested that we make one.
Blake & I decorated stars for the top of the tree for FHE (something
I'm trying to do more regularly). He asked which one we
would be using & of course I told him we would use his. (he actually did a really good job).
We had a lot of fun with glitter &glue. (it is my intention to make this a new family tradition)

We usually have family dinner @ my dad & Dawn's house once a month. This month
Naunie (Dawn) had everything ready to make gingerbread houses.
Here's Blake, Austin & Naunie decorating
(as always I am the official photographer)

A close-up, but not the finished product. (actually, I don't think I have a final pic.
some photographer I am!)

Oh, here we go. I have no Idea why he & Austin decided to make scary
faces with the gingerbread house. BOYS!

Bathtime Woes

Sorry, but if there is one thing that I absolutely do not love doing, it is bathtime with my boys. I don't know why but it just puts me over the edge. It has to be done of course, cuz I don't want to have smelly boys but I just don't enjoy it. Maybe it's cuz I don't really enjoy sitting in the bath. I get bored. On occasion I'll take one but it's usually when I am soooo cold that there's really no other way to warm up. Anyway, some people love it. I'm not one of those mom's. Am I the only one? Oh well if I am. I never claimed to be perfect. But I do love the way they smell after they've been bathed. I just want to get them in, washed & get them out. Is that so wrong. Why delay bedtime any further?! But I do what I have to because I do love my boys.

Thanksgiving Slideshow

Hope you all enjoy my new creation. I found Smilebox & think it's pretty cool. I am seriously considering switching to digital scrapbooking. (at least for all of my recent pics...seems I'll never get caught up on all of my prints). This might be a way for me to at least keep up with all of the millions of pics I seem to take. It's kinda cool & I don't have to come up with all of the cutesy things that I love in other people's books. We'll see. Maybe I'll do a little of both. Depends on what it's for.......I guess. I know.....makeup my mind, but who says I have to do that right now. No one!!!! Enjoy♥♥♥

Having Trouble

I'm having some trouble with my computer so the pictures will have to come at a later time. Dang it!!! I can't even read other blogs right now. Frustrating!! Oh Well!! See you tomorrow.

Holiday, Holiday, Holiday!!!

Why does my post say holiday 3 times you may ask. Well, we were lucky enough to have not 1 but 3 Thanksgiving dinners!! We had turkey, turkey turkey. But, not all in one day (thank goodness). We spent time with all of our parents except for my mom. We'll be able to something with everyone during Christmas though. Each night was so nice. Small & quaint gatherings. Tons o'food, tons o'fun!! We got to go to the coast for the 3rd dinner & stay for a few days. It's always so nice to get out of town. There's something so warm & cozy about a warm fire in a cabin. The kids had fun & we got to go to a nice beach but the waves were HUGE. And now we're on to Christmas. Hurray!!! I have lots to say about the fun stuff we've been doing but I'll save it for another time. So, here's some pics from our Thanksgiving fun. I'm so grateful for family.

Twilight Again!!!!

So after seeing the midnight showing of Twilight I got like 4 hours of sleep & then went to work like I do on Friday's. I was doing good, what with my pepsi & donut pick me up and all. Made it through the day & then later we went to the Spaghetti Factory for some more birthday celebrating. We celebrated my bday, Grandad's bday & cousin Amy's bday. It was fun & the kids actually did really well. No major tantrums. It's always good when there are no tantrums. Then we went home to veg out. That was nice. Then on Saturday me & the boys went to Target to get some stuff & then a few of my friends came over & we were off to see Twilight. Yes!!! I went & saw it again & I'm sooooo GLAD I did. It was so much better the 2nd time because I wasn't expecting so much. When you read a book & then go see the movie & they change things, it can be frustrating & a wee bit disappointing. It was a little cheesy but now I feel like I am equally obsessed with the movie as with the book. I just still think there was soooo much left out of the movie. If you haven't read the book it's ok, but read it!!!! It'll entertain you & you'll feel like you're a teenager again. So now I'm going to read it again, I finally go my own copy. Hurray!! Anyway there you go. If you see it once, see it again & it will be sooo much better. Ok gotta go!!

Twilight the Movie

So, I went to the midnight showing of "TWILIGHT" with my good friend Karen & had such a good time!! Didn't get home & to bed until well after 3am!!! Crazy!!! Every once in a while it's really fun to pretend like I don't need sleep to function. Anyway I don't really want to say much about the movie yet because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. This much I will say, the movie does NOT do the book justice!!!! There's so much more that they could've put in. I will say that it was OK!! I am going to see it again with a different bunch of friends on Saturday & I'm sure I will buy the movie at some point because I am a HUGE fan & watch it some more. I am so glad that I read the books because while watching the movie I could fill in the blanks. Maybe on Monday I'll post what I REALLY think. It was still FUN!!!!

I also haven't posted what I'm thankful for in a couple days. Life can be extremely challenging sometimes & I wonder when the challenge will shift to something else. I'm thankful for my challenges & trials. As I sit here close to tears I can only hope & pray that Heavenly Father will guide me & my family through each day & that I will be able to listen & learn to what He is teaching me. Trials are tough but they make me stronger & know that I can handle what comes my way. I know that my Heavenyly Father loves me & shows me every day, so I know that my challenges will only be for a season.♥♥♥

Temples

Today I'm grateful for our Sacramento Temple. I'm grateful that it's so close. The temple is a wonderful place to be. I'm so glad to be a member of the church & to have temples to go to often. We are so lucky to have a Temple so close. I hope that we can all take some time to go to the Temple a little more often & continue to do the Lord's work.

On a side note, I'm also grateful for blogs & that I'm allowed to peek into other people's lives & enjoy life with them. Thankyou all for sharing your lives with me.

Thankful x2

So I'm back. Twice in one day. CRAZY!!!! Anyway, I've been thinking long and hard about what I'm grateful for today. Many, many things have come to mind,
BUT I must say that today I'm thankful for FRIENDS. I'm thankful to know that there are people out there who love me & care about me & I don't even really know it.
THANK YOU to all of my FRIENDS. I only hope I can be a good friend back to all of you ♥ ♥ ♥
(look what I learned how to do today)
I'm also really grateful for people who leave me comments!!!(hinthinthint)♥♥♥

Thankful

Ok, so I missed posting what I'm thankful for yesterday. So, I'll do 2 today. One now & one later. After a long day for both Brad & me, we went out to the mall just to walk around. When we were about to leave Brad asked if I wanted ice cream & I said sure, thinking that we would go to Baskin Robbins or something. We went back inside & got Cold Stone Ice Cream. We each got something different & we all loved what we got. It's so fun to watch Blake & Sonny eat ice cream. So for yesterday, I'm grateful & thankful that we are all different and we like different things. It makes the world such a unique place to live in. Wouldn't it be soooo boring if we all liked the same exact things?! I think so. I'm grateful that Brad & I are different because I think we balance eachother out. So here's to being different!!!!

It's MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

So, today is my BIRTHDAY!!!! Hurray!!! 31 years & still going strong!!!I want to say that today I'm grateful for my FAMILY, because they remembered my birthday!!! You might say, well of course they would remember, but there have been years that my own family has forgotten my birthday. I've been a bit hormonal for the past few days which has made things tough around my house, but we were still able to have a nice day all in all. Thanks to my dear sweet Brad for getting me my new Sarah Mac cd & a Twilight shirt to wear this coming up weekend& the 2 books to keep me occupied when I am bored. Right now I am baking birthday cake with my dear, sweet, & energetic children!!hahaha. Thanks to those that remembered, it really means a lot!!!

Today I'm Grateful

Today I'm grateful for local parks. It's so nice to have places to take the children to play for free!! We have a giant backyard for the kids to play in but it can get boring, so I'm grateful to take them someplace else to play for just a little while. I tried to take pictures at the park today but my batteries died. Maybe next time. It was fun today. Me & my boys & uncle Bryan, Aunt Kimi & Libby went to play. And it was HOT!!! Crazy November weather.

Being Grateful/Thankful

So, I think I'm going to jump on the bandwagon of being Thankful. Yes, it is the month of Thanksgiving & we start to reflect upon the many wonderful things we have in our life. What a wonderful time of year. I hope that I can carry this over into day to day living. My lists will be short & sweet but I want to try to list at least one thing every day. So here goes.................
I am Thankful for my little family & all of the crazy days that we have together!!!
I am Grateful for the power of prayer & how it keeps me going when I think that things are going to fall apart!!!

I am not the best cook but I do follow directions extremely well. Thanks "S", I am truly grateful. Blake even wanted it for lunch today!!!

Halloween Slideshow

Halloween Adventures

So I have quickly come to the conclusion that I have to do a slide show for this post. We went to 2 Harvest Festivals, the Nut Tree, Bishop's Pumpkin Patch & of course Trick or Treating for all of our adventures. We had tons of fun. I even lost Sonny at the 1st harvest festival which was not fun but Brad found him & all was ok. We got to see some old friends at the Rusch Park Ward Harvest Festival. It's always so much fun to go back to where you grew up. Lots of friendly faces & even faces that I thought moved away & are back. We went to the Nut Tree to check it out & it ended up not being totally great but they do have a little amusement park for the kids & the train is always the best part. Sonny was such a crab that day (maybe that's what we get for going on a Sunday....hahaha...). We also had a Harvest Festival @ Blake's school where he wore his soccer uniform because he had his last game right before. That was fun. Then we had our own North Highlands 1st ward Harvest Festival. I was late cuz my little sister had her baby shower the same day. The kids had fun & the best part was a corn maze that they did on the stage. It was actually pretty cool if I do say so myself. Then of course, Halloween. We went to Lisa's house where Brad made chili & I made corn muffins for dinner. We were joined by Lisa, my dad, & Bryan & Kimi. It's always fun to have family around for the festivities. We took Batman (Blake) & our monster (Sonny) out in the neighborhood for some Trick or Treating. This was Blake's 5th time & Sonny's 2nd time. Sonny kept taking the candy right out of their hands & when they would try to put it in his bucket he thought they were trying to take his candy. It was funny. He got it by the end of the night. Unfortunately Sonny was eating candy throughout the night & got an extremely bad tummy ache. Oh yes, it was bad. He threw up about 3 different times that night. Thank goodness for Brad. I take care of the sick kid & he takes care of the puke. I HATE puke. Probably more that poopy diapers, etc. So I'm sure glad that Brad is able to handle it better than me!! All in all, we had a great Halloween adventure. Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did......................Oh, I almost forgot the cutest part.........when Sonny would be walking up to the door & he would see that I or my dad wasn't going he would say," om on mom, om on papa (come on mom, come on papa). It's so cute to hear him putting words together!!!

Rain is Falling!!

Rain is falling all around, on the housetops on the ground.
Rain is falling on my nose, On my head and hands and toes.
(Children's Songbook.......The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)

I love this song. Very cute & simple & very appropriate for the day today. I will be posting all of our Halloween activities very shortly. I was just waiting so I could do them all at once. I finally loaded all the pics so they will be coming very soon.

Sonny's Birthday

So, Sonny's 2nd Birthday was on Saturday!! I'm a bit late posting but I had to figure out the slide show thing & I'm glad to say it worked this time!!! Hooray!! Anyway I cannot believe that it's been 2 years since I had my little angel. He is a little ray of sunshine in our lives. We had an extremely busy day to say the least but we were able to have a nice little birthday party for him. See the slide show below. He had fun but his faces that he makes are sooo classic. My poor little boy is just like me & will never be able to hide his emotions from anyone cuz they are always right there on his face & eyes. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sonny!!! We love you very much...........Mom, Dad & Blake

An exciting weekend-part 2

So after my sewing adventure with Steph Brad & I got to go to Kings preseason
game. We were able to find a babysitter who is actually
not related to us. We don't actually hire babysitters too often. Brad too Blake to
his soccer game & then we were off to the Kings game. We had
a lot of fun. I always enjoy watching basketball when you're
right there. I don't think we've been to an actual game in about 2 years. I used to
get tickets from my old boss on occasion but, it's going on 2 years since
I've worked there so, it's been a while. It was fun....Thanks for giving us the tix Lance.
Then on Saturday we were FINALLY able to go to San Francisco. We stopped @
IKEA on our way, but what a mess. There were
people everywhere!!! I love to go there & see what kind of stuff I can find
that I think would be helpful for me but I CANNOT stand crowds
like that!!!! I LOVE to shop, but not like that. I was
bummed, but oh well, I can go on another day when there's not a major sale going on.
So off we went to our fave BART station. We always ride the BART in to

the city. I love going on it. It's just not something I get to do all

the time. Blake & Sonny were very excited. Choo choo train. That's what Sonny
kept saying. He LOVES trains!!! It was quite busy in the city too. We decided that Blake & I would ride the muni & Brad would walk all the way down to PIER 39.

The buses were crazy full of people!!

What a trooper

my man is!!!!

While Blake & I were waiting we got to see jets flying by. No pics of the jets
cuz they just flew by way to fast!

Apparently there was an air show going on this past weekend too. We finally made it
to the aquarium!! That was fun. The boys loved it. It's amazing to see all of the amazing creatures under the water!!! Brad even found the octopus
that was hiding. Lots of walking & some eating. The boys did great. We
all ended up walking all the way back to Pier 1 cuz the buses were soooo busy. Poor
Blake. His little legs & feet were killing him he was telling us over & over again. All in all, we had a really nice family day. The weather was perfect too!! I'm glad we finally got to go & enjoy a day together as a family!!!

An exciting weekend-Sewing with Stephanie

Wow, we did a lot this past weekend! I still feel like I am recovering. This will be a continued post. First I went over to my friend Stephanie's (Lewis). It's taken us forever to finally get together outside of just seeing eachother at places we both happen to be at. I am so grateful that we are still friends even after all these years. I believe we met when I was 12. Long time. We had tons of fun on Friday. She showed me the pattern for these super cute bibs that she makes. Wow, super easy. The only thing that I will have trouble with is the button holes. At least I know a few crafty people who are in my neck of the woods that can try to teach me. heehee. I'll have to take pics & post them after they are all made so you all can see just how crafty I can be. Plus, the bibs aren't just rectangles like the burp cloths & baby blankets that I make. I know, I know, I need to slow down, a couple of angles thrown into the mix is just CRAZY. Anyway, we had fun gabbing about high school & our young single adult years. I totally miss talking to her everyday. I was reminded why we were & still are such good friends even though we don't live just down the street from eachother. Gotta take time to get together more often. Anyway, thanks Steph for the sewing lesson & we will have to make it a regular habit.

Here's a pic of the 1st of many to come.

Recent pictures

Here's Blake & Sonny a few weeks ago after church. I thought my boys looked so handsome
at Bryan & Kimi's wedding but realized we didn't really get any
pictures of them so here's the best I could
do after a long day at church.

See, Sonny just wants to go inside. No more pictures mom!

Success!!!

My 1st Demarle at Home Rendez-Vous was a success!!! Thanks to my family & friends who were there to support me!!! I learned a few things that will help things run more smoothly next time. I really hope that my girlfriends who couldn't be there tonight will join me when I have another one. It's such an amazing product, I can't say enough about it, but you really have to see it in action to get the full perspective. Good stuff!!!

Happy Birthday Chris

Ok, so today is my baby bro's 29th birthday!! I can't believe it. One more year & you'll be in your 30's like me & Shane. HAHAHA!! Can't wait for tonight!!

Tonight I get to go out & be an adult!! I'm going to see the Broadway Show "The Drowsy Chaperone" with a few family members & some friends. Looking forward to getting dressed up. Too bad my darling husband doesn't enjoy this type of thing like I do. Oh well, at least I have family members who like to go & like to invite me. Lucky me!! Anyway, I'll let everyone know how it goes.

And I'm back....

So, we've had no internet for like a week because we've changed phone services & we had to get new internet services. I feel like I've been out of it. Crazy to think how much the internet keeps me sane & how much I actually do on it. I have pics to post from some fun things we've done but I'm not doing that right now cuz I don't wanna sit & wait. I know, so lame. Anyway, I LOVE blogging & how you get to catch up with old friends. I've had 3 friends find me & I LOVE it. I am so happy to have this way to communicate with friends that have moved away. I love, love, love this blogging world.

I'm excited & nervous

So, I've been getting all of my stuff from Demarle at Home. This stuff is sooo AWESOME!!! I'm excited & nervous about doing my upcoming Rendez-Vous. I will be sending out invites to my friends & family. I hope that my friends will come & give me support & learn about these awsome tools for cooking & baking. I'm excited to try my stuff out with new & old recipes & most of you know that I do not do the cooking. Maybe this is what I've always needed to get me interested in cooking. Hope everything goes well. I'll keep everyone updated!

7 Year Anniversary!!!

It's crazy to think that Brad & I have been married for 7 years already. Here's just a few of my fave pics from our wedding day. Hope you all enjoy.
The Oakland Temple.
I know these pics aren't close up but they are beautiful & I have a million more but didn't want to go too crazy. We have a ton of memories so far & I am grateful that we have been together for the past 7 years & hope that our future will continue to be blessed. I love you Brad.

Celebrate!!

Today is Bryan's birthday. Happy Birthday Bryan. We're going to dinner to celebrate his day & also to celebrate mine & Brad's 7th anniversary. Hope to take some pics.

Do you know what I hate?

I totally hate it when you're driving & the person in front of you DOES NOT use their blinker or when you're waiting to turn & the person coming down the street DOES NOT use their blinker so you know that it would be safe to go. Come on people, be courteous & USE your blinkers!!!!
This happened just this morning, so it's been on my mind.

It's Official

Yup, it's official. I am an official Demarle at Home Representative. I should be receiving all of my materials sometime next week. I'm very excited & hope that this will be a fun way to make some extra money & see old friends & meet new ones. I hope that you all will be willing to give me a helping hand. I will let you know when I have my 1st Rendez-Vous.
We have soccer tonight. Maybe Blake will score another goal, but he's pretty tired today. We'll see what happens.

Guess what I just found out!!!!

My good friend Karen (another Twilight addict) called to let me know that she was on the official website & the book that Stephenie Meyer is writing from Edward's point of view was leaked so she posted it on the website for everyone to read. So, if you're a "Twilight" addict like we are go to www.stepheniemeyer.com to check it out.

Blake scored!!!

We are sooo excited & proud of Blake. He scored a goal @ his soccer game tonight. You should've seen how excited he was, jumping up & down & waving his hands in the air. We promised him that if he scored a goal that we would take him to Godfather's pizza to eat dinner & play video games. Soooo, that's where we went. We had fun & I even ran into some old acquaintences ( the Burnett's) while we were there & chatted for just a few minutes remembering how we knew eachother. What a fun night.

How To Make Silver Cotton Candy

You need silver sugar, Silver bread, Silver eggs, Silver hair, Silver candy, Silver cotton. Then a silver fan, silver sticks. Mix together & there you go. Blake gave me this recipe on his way home from school. Not really sure where it came from but, kids are fun. If you want green cotton candy you need the same ingredients but in GREEN.

The Reception

So here are some pics of the reception. There are not as many as I had hoped for cuz my little angel photographer Blake was oh so fascinated with all of the little girls that were running around. Oh well. We had fun & I'm sure that Debbie (the real photographer) got lots of good pics. Again, these pics are by Blake so forgive any errors there may be & be impressed by the pics that turned out really good.
Kimi's mom Katie & Grandmother Nadine.
Libby
